The rise to power of Britain in the 17th century (reasons of lose in the revolutionary war)
We start in 1701 with the treaty of grand alliance between England, Dutch and Austrians, reason being was to control the power of the French and Spanish, The next year the "Spanish succession" broke out over who had the right to succeed Charles II as King of Spain,
A great contribution to the power of England was in 1707 when the "Act of Union" of England and Scotland was ratified, Which officially made them one country (Great Britain)
In the revolutionary war the British had far more power, troops, resources and training then the Americans did, America had farmer's that didn't know how to fight, they had far less influence then England did and they had god on there side, they had men that weren't just fighting to fight, they were fighting for there home's, there freedom to live, grow and believe what and how they wanted, That's what gave then the courage and the desire to not give up and fight even when they were outnumbered and out powered,
this is the same for today those that work to gain for there personal growth and to help make a change for the better, those are the people this country need's men like the founding fathers who are willing to die for there freedom.
Thoughts
England grow and gained lots of power in the 17th century and had a great influence on the other powers of Europe, but even with all that they still lost the Revolutionary war, they trusted on there king and there power, now think of how that could have changed if they had trusted in god and done what was best for the people instead of the king, we could have avoided blood shed and many great disagreements with England had they put there trust in God.more through the 16th century
